Meet Cornelia.

She's a Software Engineer who learned to code with Codecademy—and built a foundation for a new career.

I came to Codecademy to figure out if software development was right for me. I wanted to find out whether I would be good enough at coding to actually make it my career.

The structure really helped me stay on track, but the best thing for me was the chance to work on real-world projects.

Codecademy also gave me something that I couldn't get from watching tutorials alone—the online interactive code editor. It gave me real-time feedback and helped me spot errors in my code as I progressed.

Where's Cornelia now?

Codecademy gave me the coding confidence I needed to start using my skills in more professional settings—and progress to more advanced training. I'm now working as a Java software developer.

My advice to others would be that you should always keep learning and getting better, which is why I love Codecademy's philosophy on lifelong learning. Their platform makes it easy to keep learning new things and improve your skills.
